No Kratom Bar Near You? We've Got You Covered.

No Kratom Bar Near You? We've Got You Covered.

Kratom bars and kava lounges have been popping up all over the place. There's something great about walking into a relaxed space, ordering a botanical drink, and just unwinding.

The problem is they're not everywhere. Depending on where you live, the nearest kratom bar might be an hour away, two hours, or just not exist yet.

That's where an online kratom store comes in. You don't need a lounge to have a great kratom drink. You just need the right products and a few good recipes. Whether you're at home on the couch, out on the beach, or wherever, we've got you covered.

The kratom bar experience, explained

If you've never been to one, a kratom bar is basically a chill hangout spot that serves kratom-based drinks, kava, and other botanical beverages as alcohol alternatives. You go in, order a "shell" of kava or a kratom drink, and just vibe. No pressure or loud music blasting at you.

They've grown a lot in popularity for a reason. People want a social space that doesn't revolve around alcohol. These plant-inspired venues fill that gap pretty well.

The drinks they serve usually start with kratom powder or a liquid extract base, mixed with juice, coconut milk, citrus, or other flavors to balance out the natural bitterness. Some bars get pretty creative with it. The good news is none of this is hard to recreate at home.

What to use: picking your format

Before we get into the recipes, it's worth knowing what format makes sense for what you're trying to make. Not all kratom products work the same way in drinks.

  • Kratom powder is the most traditional option and the most versatile for mixing. Green Maeng Da works great for daytime drinks. Red Bali is a better fit if you're going for something more relaxing in the evening. White Maeng Da if you want something more energizing.
  • Liquid extract shots are a great shortcut. Just add a shot to your drink of choice and you're done. Fast, no measuring, no bitterness to deal with since the flavoring is already built in.
  • Extract tablets can be dissolved in warm liquid, which makes them a good option for teas and warm drinks. More potent than powder since they're concentrate-based.
  • MIT Light kratom drink mix is probably the easiest entry point for anyone making their first kratom drink. It's already flavored, so you just add water. Dress it up with fresh lemon, a sugared rim, or some sliced fruit and it's genuinely hard to tell you're not at a bar.
  • Capsules aren't really drink-friendly, but worth mentioning if someone wants the easiest possible option with no prep at all.

A quick note on potentiators

Potentiators are ingredients that naturally amplify kratom's effects or help your body absorb the alkaloids more efficiently. They're worth knowing about before you start mixing drinks.

The most well-known ones are citrus juices, especially grapefruit. The acidity helps extract alkaloids and slows down how fast your body metabolizes them, so effects hit a little stronger and last a little longer. Lemon and lime work similarly. Turmeric is another popular one, containing curcumin which may slow alkaloid breakdown in the liver. Adding a pinch of black pepper alongside turmeric boosts absorption even further.

None of this requires any special equipment. A lot of it is probably already in your kitchen. We've baked potentiators into several of the recipes below.

5 kratom drinks worth making

These are all designed to taste genuinely good, not just mask bitterness. Made with products you can grab from 10 Smoke and ingredients from any grocery store.

Classic Kratom Lemonade

Refreshing, easy, great for daytime. The citrus is a natural potentiator.

You’ll need:
  • 1 serving kratom powder (Green Maeng Da or White Maeng Da for daytime)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup or honey
  • 8 oz cold water
  • Ice
  • Lemon slice to garnish (optional)
How to make it:
  1. Mix your kratom powder into the lemon juice first and stir well for about 60 seconds. The acidity helps the alkaloids dissolve.
  2. Add cold water and your sweetener of choice.
  3. Pour over ice, garnish if you want to feel fancy, and drink up.
  4. Tip: let the kratom sit in the lemon juice for 10–15 minutes before adding water for even better extraction.
Best with: Green Maeng Da or White Maeng Da powder from the 10 Smoke collection. Want to skip the measuring entirely? MIT Light kratom drink mix is already flavored and ready to go.

Coconut Kratom Sunset

Creamy, tropical, and a lot more enjoyable than plain powder in water.

You’ll need:
  • 1 serving kratom powder (Red Bali for a relaxing version, Green Malay for balanced)
  • 4 oz coconut milk
  • 4 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Ice
How to make it:
  1. Blend the kratom powder with coconut milk first until smooth.
  2. Add pineapple juice, honey, turmeric, and black pepper. Stir or shake well.
  3. Pour over ice. The pineapple and coconut milk do a great job softening any bitterness.
  4. Turmeric and black pepper here aren’t just for flavor, they’re a classic potentiator combo.
Best with: Bali powder for evening relaxation, or Green Malay if you want something more balanced.

Kratom Ginger Tea

Warm, soothing, and one of the most traditional ways to take kratom.

You’ll need:
  • 1 serving kratom powder or 1 extract tablet
  • 8 oz hot water, not boiling, around 175°F
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Squeeze of lemon
  • Chamomile tea bag, optional
How to make it:
  1. Steep the ginger slices in hot water for 5 minutes, then remove.
  2. Stir in kratom powder until fully dissolved. If using an extract tablet, drop it in and stir until dissolved.
  3. Add honey and a squeeze of lemon.
  4. For an evening version, add a chamomile tea bag while steeping. Chamomile pairs especially well with Red Vein strains.
  5. Drink warm and slowly. This one’s meant to be savored.
Best with: kratom powder or extract tablets. Red Vein powder for the evening version.

Kratom Shot Mixer

The fastest option. Barely any prep, ready in under a minute.

You’ll need:
  • 1 kratom liquid extract shot
  • 6 oz grapefruit juice or orange juice
  • Ice
  • Splash of sparkling water if you like some fizz
How to make it:
  1. Pour the extract shot directly into your glass of grapefruit juice.
  2. Stir, add ice, and top with sparkling water if you want it.
  3. That’s it. Seriously.
  4. Grapefruit juice is the best mixer here specifically because it’s a potentiator.
Best with: Any kratom liquid extract shot from the 10 Smoke lineup.

Mango Kratom Smoothie

Thick, flavorful, and great at masking bitterness completely.

You’ll need:
  • 1 serving kratom powder
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 banana
  • 6 oz coconut water or regular water
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon honey
How to make it:
  1. Add everything to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth. The frozen mango breaks up any grittiness from the powder.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness with honey as needed.
  4. The mango and banana mask bitterness completely.
  5. Works great at the beach, on a hike, or anywhere you’d normally bring a smoothie.
Best with: White Borneo powder for an uplifting daytime smoothie.
